Reveals that happen exactly on cue
A reveal is the moment an audience remembers: the car turns, the product rises out of the stage, the wall opens and the logo appears. Event automation is how that moment is engineered. At Metal Art DXB we build the mechanism itself, not just the decorative shell around it, which is why automation is at the centre of what we do.
We design and fabricate scissor lifts that raise a product or presenter from below stage level, rotating platforms and turntables, opening and sliding structures, and kinetic props that move during a show. The mechanical frame, the moving parts and the finished skin are built together in our Ras Al Khor workshop, so the look and the movement are designed as one piece.
Tested in the workshop, not on the night
Every moving piece is assembled and run in our workshop before it goes to the venue. That is when we check travel, speed, stability and how the piece looks at every point of its movement. On site, our crew installs it, runs it through with your show team and stays on hand for rehearsals.
Because the same team builds the structure and the mechanism, changes late in the design are easier to absorb, and you have one company responsible for the whole effect.

Why Metal Art DXB
We build the mechanism and the set around it in the same workshop, so the reveal works the way it was designed.
In our workshop: CNC router · laser cutting · tube and pipe bending · press brake · TIG and MIG welding · spray painting booth · carpentry and joinery. Materials: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, acrylic, ACP, wood, MDF and plywood.
Questions clients ask
What is event automation?
Event automation means moving parts built into an event set or prop, such as scissor lifts that raise a product, rotating platforms, opening walls or sliding panels. They are used to create reveals and moments of movement during a show.
Can you build a lift that raises a product through the stage?
Yes. We design scissor lifts sized to the product and the stage height, and build the stage opening and cover around them.
Do you test the mechanism before the event?
Yes. Every moving piece is assembled and run in our workshop before delivery, then run again with your team on site.
Can you add automation to a set another company is building?
Often yes. Share the set drawings and we can build the mechanism to fit, or build the whole piece if that is simpler.
What information do you need to quote?
What needs to move, the size and weight of the product, the distance and speed of the movement, the stage height and the event date.
